INTRODUCING THE WORKSHOP FACILITATOR


Dr. Beverly J. Ferrucci is a Professor of Mathematics and Director of the Primary School Mathematics Specialists Program at Keene State College, USA. Dr. Ferrucci has received numerous teaching and research awards. She is the recipient of the State of New Hampshire Excellence in Education Teaching Award, the Richard C. Evans Distinguished Teaching, the Keene State College Award for Distinction in Research and Scholarship, the Balomenos Award for Contributions to Mathematics Education, and the New Hampshire Outstanding Woman of the Year Award.

Dr. Ferrucci is currently the editor of the New England Mathematics Journal. She has served as president of the New England Association of Teachers of Mathematics, the New England Educational Research Association, and the New Hampshire Teachers of Mathematics and has serve on several first level committees of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and chaired the Educational Materials Committee.

Dr. Ferrucci received a PhD with honors from Boston College as well as an EdD with honors from Boston University. She has been active in curriculum development for students in primary and middle schools. Her research interests include mathematics teacher education, cross-cultural mathematics, and international comparative mathematics education.

She is an author of numerous publications and has served as featured speaker at scores of national and international presentations
